Stalking vs. Normal Fan BehaviorMy Chemical Romance, as far back as I can remember, has never had a normal fan base. The fans have always had a certain passion and drive for the band that many other bands cannot replicate and arouse in their own fans. This devotion has led to good developments within the fan base with such projects like #Sing it for Japan, a music video driven by mostly fan made creations. Yet amidst all of this are some controversial acts of devotion that have sparked a split within much of the fan base in what is right or wrong.
The controversial behavior in question started to appear more frequently during the band’s Black Parade Tour in 2007. Video footage of fans stalking them to their hotel is all over YouTube: fans screaming for them to sign things well into the night. It should come to no surprise though.
